What is a word search puzzle?

A word search puzzle is a fun word game that usually has letters placed in a lined grid in a square or circle shape. There is usually a list of words provided that you must seek. The goal is to search for words and find them in the letter soup that is within the grid. Words can be placed going any direction, up, down or diagonal. Sometimes this word game is referred to as “mystery word”, “word find”, “word sleuth” or “word seek” instead of “word search”.

What is a Sudoku puzzle?

Sudoku is an easy to learn logic-based number placement game that started to become popular around 1986. The Sudoku puzzle itself contains 81 cells in an 9 by 9 grid of squares and are subdivided in boxes of 3 by 3. Each grid in a Sudoku contains empty cells that you must fill entirely with numbers. The goal is to place numbers ranging from 1 to 9 into the empty cells. Each row, column and 3 by 3 region must have each number ranging from 1 to 9 appear only once. While the puzzle based on numbers, it is commonly known as a logic based game because of the lack of mathematical computation to play the game itself.

What is a maze?

A maze is a puzzle that the solver must find a path from start to finish within a complex labyrinth of walls and pathways. These pathways and walls are contained in various shapes or even elaborate graphics. Most commonly the maze is contained in a circle or square shape. The goal is to find a valid route from start to finish to complete a maze. Sometimes there may be more than one route from start to finish to complete a maze.

What format are your printable puzzles in?

Every puzzle includes a PDF file with the puzzle(s) to solve and another PDF file with the solution. You can get a free PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Sumatra PDF to read PDF files and print them.

Can I use your puzzles?

Puzzles are free for any use personal or commercial. Classrooms, healthcare or just for fun, go nuts. The only catch is that if you are using for a commercial profit like including in a book for example, you must include a credit hyperlink that is viewable by most reasonable humans.

Do I need to sign up?

No. We don’t currently allow anyone from the public to register for accounts.

Do you have email updates?

Yes. We have a daily word search newsletter. You can unsubscribe at anytime.

Do you sell my information?

No. We do look at website traffic data and use cookies, but this data is completely anonymous/helps us improve site features and navigation. There are third-party analytics and advertising on this website which we use to keep the lights on to keep making puzzles.

How do you make money?

We mainly make money from ads on the site. Some companies pay a commission fee if you buy a product listed on our site as well.
